Get your skin ready for summer
Summer is finally here, and whether you’re lucky enough to be going away or even just spending your holidays in the UK, there are a few tips and tricks that you should be taking note of to ensure you have the perfect soft summer skin.
Exfoliating is a major part of getting ready for summer. Not only does it mean that you’ll get a better all over tan when sunbathing, it also means that you’ll be less likely to peel as quickly and will have soft skin that you love. You can buy a huge range of scrubs to suit all skin types – or if you’re feeling particularly thrifty, why not make one from brown sugar, coconut oil and lemon juice (or essential oils) to fragrance?
Pedicure and varnish
There’s just something that screams summer about giving yourself a pedicure and getting out your favourite varnish to coat your toes. No one likes to get their feet out when they’re not looking their prettiest, but with the gorgeous array of sandals and flip flops for the beach how can you say no?
Wax vs. Shave
If there’s any time to wax, the summer is it. Not only does it avoid you having to deal with stubbly legs and razor burn, it means that the upkeep isn’t as often – which is of course ideal for those summer months when you live in your favourite shorts or sun dress. If you do opt to shave then make sure you use loads of shaving foam and a razor with moisturising patches to avoid skin irritation.
Moisturise, moisturise, moisturise
This is the key to perfect summer skin. Keep your skin well hydrated with water and moisturiser to get that coveted summer glow. Moisturising will help you tan evenly and keep your skin soft, subtle and looking fresh.
