Update your wardrobe with AW2012 trends

Autumn is upon us with winter clipping its heels, but don’t despair because along with it comes a new fashion season and the joys of picking those key pieces to make your style winter ready. Before you grab your bag and head for the shops to buy a whole new wardrobe, make sure you have a look at how you can update your current clothes to suit this period’s trends.

Fur

A huge trend this season is fur. Don’t worry – we’re not telling you to run out and buy an exotic real fur dress, but there are many ways which you can easily incorporate this style into your wardrobe.

For those glamorous Christmas and New Year’s parties we know you will no doubt have a stunning dress, but on your way out you’ll need to wear a coat. This year you can still look beautiful, with or without outerwear, by opting for a short faux fur coat that stops at your waist. Not only does it keep you warm but it emphasises those gorgeous curves. If fur isn’t a focal point for you it can always be used to trim your winter boots, a pair of gloves or a trusty clutch.

Don’t forget to update your underwear in this too. The Jude Animal Print Moulded Bra or the Natasha Animal Print Balconnet Bra would be ideal, and can give you that fun, Queen-of-the-Jungle theme feeling every day.

Print

The print trend has been a constant for a few seasons now, but many curvy women avoid it without real reason. Print is a great way to add some vibrancy and adventure to your wardrobe, and if you’ve been following the trend there’s little you’ll need to do to update it.

For those who have avoided it now is the time to jump in feet first. To ease you in to the trend why not try a clutch or scarf to highlight your favourite outfit?  If you’re feeling more confident then try a print dress. The best way to wear a print dress is to break it up slightly with a waist-cinching belt. It draws the eye to your waist and accentuates your curves too. For skirts and tops pick a bold print and wear it with a plain fabric with it to create a contrast.

Print is big in underwear styles too. From girly to make you smile in the morning like the Meg Balconnet Bird Print Bra to the more ladylike Fern Floral Balconnet Bra there is a part of this look to suit everyone.
